Sustainability Statement
Last updated Thu Oct 22 2026 00:00:00 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time)
Transcend360 is a deliberately small operating company that builds and runs software platforms. We do not manufacture goods or run a large estate, so our environmental impact is modest. We still take responsibility for it, and for the way we treat the people we work with. This statement sets out where our impact comes from and what we do about it.
Where our impact comes from
As a software business, most of our footprint comes from four sources:
- the cloud computing that runs our platforms and our customers’ workloads;
- travel to meet customers and partners, including between the UK and the US;
- the laptops and other equipment our team uses; and
- the energy used in our offices and by our team working from home.
What we do about it
Efficient cloud computing. Our platforms run on major cloud providers that publish their own renewable energy and efficiency commitments. We design our services to use only the computing they need: scaling down when demand is low, removing resources that are no longer used, and reviewing our hosting regularly. Efficient software is cheaper to run as well as better for the environment, so this is part of how we build, not an afterthought.
Travel only when it adds value. We meet online by default and travel when being in the room genuinely makes a difference to a customer or partner. When we do travel, we choose rail over short-haul flights where it is practical.
Equipment that lasts. We buy equipment to last, keep it in use for as long as it performs well, and reuse or refurbish it where we can. When equipment reaches the end of its life, we wipe it securely and recycle it through accredited recyclers in line with UK electronic waste regulations.
Paper-light by design. Our contracts, invoices and day-to-day work are digital. We print only when we have to.
Helping customers do the same. Much of our work replaces manual, paper-based and duplicated processes with a single, well-run system. Helping customers run their operations with less waste is a practical part of what we deliver.
Our people and partners
Sustainability also means how we treat people. We are committed to fair employment, equal opportunity and a safe, inclusive workplace. We expect the same standards from our suppliers and partners, and we set out our approach to modern slavery in our Anti-Slavery Policy. Anyone who works with us can raise concerns safely under our Whistleblowing Policy.
When we choose suppliers, we consider their environmental and ethical practices alongside cost and quality, and we favour those with credible, published commitments.
Responsibility and review
A director of the Company is responsible for this statement and for the actions in it. We review it at least once a year and update it as our business grows. If our size or activities bring us within the scope of formal reporting requirements, we will meet them.
